Flexor Hinge

The Wrist Driven wrist/hand orthosis employs the Flexor Hinge Principal. The fingers and thumb are stabilized in the position of function. A small amount of wrist extensor strength will create flexion motion at the MP joints to produces adequate pinch for a variety of daily activities.

The system is constructed of polished aluminum and stainless steel for light weight, strength and durability. A 5 position adjustment for per-positioning the wrist, which is achieved through an Actuating Lever and Locking Block at the wrist joint allow for optimum functional grasp.

Wrist Driven Orthosis w/ MAPEL

The addition of the MAPEL to the JAECO Wrist Driven Orthosis will allow a client to lock the fingers in a prehensile position with a simple nudge. The individual can then grasp for extended periods of time allowing weak wrist extensors to rest during daily activities.
